A longstanding favourite amongst the Bondi Farmers Market crowd, Miss Lilly’s Kitchen has garnered some very loyal customers with their scrumptious baked creations. From traditional cherry pies to kale and feta sausage rolls, Miss Lilly’s Kitchen makes something for everyone.

The Story Behind Miss Lilly’s

Miss Lilly’s Kitchen is run by Stuart Masters, a very talented chef who was raised on a New Zealand Farm and taught to cook by his grandmother Lilly. Lilly taught Stuart to not be wasteful when cooking real, organic food (although back then this was just normal food). Stuart takes pride in bringing his grandmother’s recipes, and her very English, no-nonsense ways to the people of Sydney.

They Use The Highest Quality Ingredients Possible

In true Bondi Farmers Market fashion, Miss Lilly’s uses the best quality ingredients they can find and can tell you exactly who and where their produce comes from. The meat they use in their mouth-watering meat pies is pasture-fed and all of the meat, poultry and eggs they use are free-range and free from hormones, chemical additives and nitrates. Likewise, the fresh fruits and vegetables that go into their products are always sourced from either New South Wales or Australia.

Everything is Fresh as Can Be

Customers of Miss Lilly’s Kitchen also love the fact that they create all of their pastries, stocks and sauces from scratch using the same high quality ingredients that go into the rest of their products. And to ensure freshness, all of their pies and baked treats are made and immediately chilled right before transportation to the market.

What do Their Customers Have to Say?

We had a look at the reviews on Miss Lilly’s Facebook page and we weren’t surprised to see nothing but praise. One customer wrote, ‘The way a meat pie should be. Buttery pastry, real meat, tasty gravy, made with care and served with a smile. Thanks Stuart!’ And another, ‘I recently tasted and experienced the mouth watering pleasure of Miss Lilly's Kitchen... I have never in my almost 50 years, tasted a pie or a slice like it. I’m a veggie so rarely eat or taste a good pie... the mushroom and thyme one is extraordinary and I cant even describe the awesomeness of the strawberry and rhubarb. Thank you so much. Great to meet you Stuart.’

Goodies We Recommend

The lemon curd tarts at Miss Lily’s are topped with lightly torched meringue, making them a perfectly decadent, light little treat. For something a bit heartier to feed the whole family, their apple and rhubarb crumble is to die for. But get to the markets early for these beauties because they don’t last long!
